Hands On: Cultural Leaders Programme
Exciting news to announce that DaDa the Disability and Deaf Arts agency in Liverpool is delivering a short project for twenty Deaf Arts and Cultural Leaders, at ‘mid career’ stages on their developments.
This programme is part of the Cultural Leadership Programme and is the first of it’s kind.

Twenty Deaf people will participate in a three full day learning events from September 2010 to March 2011, in addition to an open seminar at the end of project.
A Deaf Cultural Leadership website is in development that will eventually be run and maintained by the leaders themselves as a tool to support an ongoing leadership network.
The events will include presentations from key Deaf Cultural leaders from the UK, plus two international leaders to present at the day events.
Applications will be accepted by DaDa in video or by an application form.
Alison will be working with Gill Winstanley a experienced professional trainer and consultant from Birmingham to co-facilitate the programme.
Dates:
- Deadline for applications: Friday 3rd September at 5pm
- Day 1: Monday 13th September – Birmingham [10.30am-4pm]
- Day 2: Friday 19th November – Liverpool [details to be confirmed]
- Day 3: Date, venue and location to be confirmed
- Seminar and Launch: March 2011, details to be confirmed
